Start your mahjong journey in a welcoming and thoughtfully guided setting. Our two-part beginner series is designed for new players who want to learn the game in a relaxed, social, and supportive environment.
Across two sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong — from understanding the tiles and reading the card to building hands and playing your first rounds at the table.
Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure a comfortable pace and plenty of personalized guidance. Sessions are hosted at carefully selected locations throughout the Greater Newton area and the Merrimack Valley, creating an atmosphere that feels equal parts cozy, social, and inspiring.
By the end of the series, you’ll have the confidence to sit down at a table and play.
