A one-day Holiday Mah Jong event bringing together friendly competition, Open Play, great food, unique tiles, and plenty of holiday fun at Rapscallion in Lawrence, MA
Merry MAHJ is your chance to choose how you want to play. Test your skills in our three-tier Mah Jong Tournament or skip the competition and spend the afternoon enjoying Open Play with fellow Mah Jong players.
Tournament players can choose the level that best fits their game, with timed rounds designed to keep play moving while still creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. And yes—we’ll have prizes for our Tournament winners!
There’s also a Holiday MAHJ twist: every table will be played with non-traditional tiles. Throughout the event, we’ll feature sets from OMM, Bespoke, Mah Jong Row & Co., as well as other brands, giving you the opportunity to play with a variety of beautiful and unique tile sets.
We’ll kick things off at 11:00 AM with check-in, brick oven pizza lunch, and time to grab a drink before play begins. Tournament and Open Play run from 12:00–3:00 PM.
And because it’s the holiday season, ugly sweaters are encouraged! We’ll have a Best “Ugly” sweater prize, additional Holiday-themed fun, and special Holiday cocktails available for purchase at the bar.
